My practice is a process of gathering and translating memories into drawings, paintings, collages, and object-based installation. Within this translation segments of ideas and thoughts are lost and gained, fictionalized and forgotten. This process attempts to evoke the same elusive quality of describing a significant place to someone who is foreign to it. My work often revolves around the architectural context it finds itself in. Seeking to insert comfort into the uncomfortable, into vulnerability, into anxiety, I greatly depend on colour in my conversations.
